Associated Programs
In conjunction with the tournament, a High Performance Certification Workshop for coaches and junior players, as well as a 2-Day Junior Boot Camp focused on technical and tactical development, are planned to be held immediately following the Junior Open.
Eligibility Requirements
Must hold Japanese nationality (valid Japanese passport required)
Must meet the age and eligibility requirements for the relevant division (U12 / U14 / U16 / U18)
Categories are determined by birth year. Example: U18 is open to players born in 2008 or later
Must be able to travel to Thailand (Mahidol University) during the tournament period
Must be accompanied by a parent or trusted guardian (please note that no chaperone or escort will be provided by the organizer)
Selection & Support Details
(approx. 20 players total)
Two categories will be used for selection:
Category | Details |
Team Japan | Official national team. Travel and accommodation support provided (for selected players only) |
Team Japan Rising | Next-generation national team. Travel and accommodation costs are the responsibility of the participant |
How to Apply
Complete the application form by Thursday, April 30 at 11:59 PM (Japan Time)
※ A doubles match video of at least 3 minutes is required. Please prepare this in advance.
Applicants will be reviewed based on their submissions, and results will be announced during May.
Post-Selection Process
Selected players will receive an official Japan National Team uniform free of charge.
Team Japan selections will receive support for travel and accommodation costs.
Team Japan Rising selections are responsible for covering all costs themselves.
Doubles pairings requests will be accepted in advance, but final decisions will be made by PJ.
Support for Team Japan to participate in PPA Singapore (July 23–26, Singapore) is also under consideration.
