RPO Instructor International Certification
RPO qualifications
PJ believes that developing excellent players, building healthy communities, and having coaches with the right knowledge and skills are essential.
To develop such coaches, we have partnered with RPO (Racket Pro) to provide an opportunity to acquire qualifications. By linking the world's most prestigious international qualification with the JSPO certified sports instructor system under the Japan Sports Agency, we are training Japan's top coaches in the pickleball world.
What is RPO (Racket Pro)?
While there are several coaching systems in the U.S., RPO is building its coaching framework on a truly global scale.
At the highest level — L3 — instructors are qualified to coach PPA top pros, making RPO a prestigious, elite-level coaching system. With other coaching certifications, once obtained, your knowledge could fall behind the latest rules and strategies unless you advanced to the next level.
RPO addresses this by providing regular content updates and continuous education starting from Level 1 — even after certification. The coaching staff is truly world-class: Collin Johns (brother of Ben Johns and the world's #1 PPA doubles ranking *as of February 2025) and Josh Jenkins (PPA pro, Team JOOLA member, and RPO's Chief Education Advisor) are not just overseers — they actively coach on the court.
Sessions will be announced and open for registration on a rolling basis via member email and our website.
Ambassador Qualifications
Ambassadors prioritize ensuring safe and enjoyable pickleball play and promoting the sport's growth. This program trains individuals to safely and enjoyably teach pickleball to beginners.
After obtaining this certification, PJF will provide support to those establishing local organizations.
Step 1: PJ Individual Membership Registration
Individual membership registration is required to take this course. Please pay the annual membership fee of ¥2,500 here. Your PJF membership number will be assigned within 1-2 business days.
Step 2: Ambassador Application Form
The Ambassador Training fee of ¥10,000 is being offered at half price, ¥5,000 for applications received by December 31, 2026. Please apply using the button below.
